Halloween 2008 in Middletown, DE

This year, we went Trick-or-Treating with Matt and Teira and their son Cole. The cousins were all dressed up and the parents had just as much fun as the kids going to all the houses. Dane was a Lion, Elin was Cinderella, and Cole was a monkey with a big butt- it was hilarious! Elin ate her body weight in candy as soon as we got back to the house. October 30th is Dane's birthday so we also had a little birthday for Dane and he got to unwrap his presents.

Philadelphia Zoo one soggy Satuday in November

Guess what the best time of year to go to the zoo is? In November on a Saturday when it's raining! We hedged our bets and figured the worst case scenario was that we would get rained out at the Zoo but could go to the Philadelphia Art Museum right next door and check out some Viking Battle axes (Tanji felt it would be a great introduction for our kids to half of their bloodthirsty heritage. They have some more elegant Japanese katanas there as well). In any case, the rain stopped and we ended up getting parking literally right by the entrance- it was great! Tanji loves the big cats, and they seemed to be pretty active, especially this one. Dane found a new friend.

I'm going to get better at this I promise. I discovered some great AV tools online and I finally just sat down and started messing around with it.
